Trekking adventures in northern Tanzania
Tanzania is known for wildlife, but its mountain landscapes offer a completely different way to experience the country. Cruize Wild Safaris can help travellers plan trekking journeys on Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru and Ol Doinyo Lengai, then connect the mountain portion with a wildlife safari or Zanzibar stay when required.
Mount Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain and Tanzania’s best-known trekking objective. A successful climb is not about rushing to the summit. Route choice, acclimatisation time, daily pacing, mountain support and realistic preparation all matter. We help travellers compare route length and trip structure before the final programme is confirmed.
Mount Meru
Mount Meru rises above Arusha National Park and provides a rewarding multi-day trek through changing vegetation zones and high mountain scenery. It can be planned as a standalone climb or as an acclimatisation-focused adventure before Kilimanjaro.
Ol Doinyo Lengai
Ol Doinyo Lengai stands in northern Tanzania near the Lake Natron area. The climb is steep and very different from Kilimanjaro or Meru, so timing, local conditions and the fitness of the traveller must be considered carefully. It is often combined with Lake Natron, the Rift Valley or a wider northern Tanzania itinerary.
