Northern Circuit overview
The Northern Circuit begins from the western side before traversing around Kilimanjaro’s quieter northern slopes. Its length is the defining feature: travellers spend more days gaining altitude before the final summit approach.
Why choose the Northern Circuit?
It is well suited to trekkers with enough time who prefer a longer mountain experience and a gradual progression rather than compressing the climb.
Planning note
Because it is a longer trek, overall cost, porter logistics and pre/post-climb recovery days should be considered in the complete Tanzania itinerary.
