Tarangire National Park is a strong first or final safari stop from Arusha, but it is much more than a transit park. Baobab-dotted landscapes and the Tarangire River create a distinctive setting, while dry-season wildlife concentrations can be particularly rewarding.

The Tarangire River and other water sources can draw wildlife as surrounding areas become drier, often creating strong game-viewing conditions. The park remains visitable outside the dry season as well.
