7-Day Southern Tanzania Safari

Depart Dar es Salaam with your private driver-guide and travel toward Mikumi. After lunch arrangements and park entry, enjoy an afternoon game drive before continuing to the confirmed lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast and a short game-drive or transfer depending on timing, continue toward Iringa through the Southern Highlands. Stop for scenic breaks and, where practical, include a visit to the Isimila Stone Age Site before overnight in Iringa.

Drive from Iringa to Ruaha National Park and begin a game drive after entry. Spend the afternoon exploring wildlife areas before dinner and overnight at your agreed Ruaha accommodation.

Spend a full day game driving in Ruaha. Your guide will adapt the route around wildlife activity and seasonal conditions, with a picnic or lodge lunch arranged according to the final programme.

If a ranger-led walking safari is included and conditions allow, begin with a guided walking experience before breakfast or at the approved time. Continue with game viewing, then leave Ruaha and return toward Iringa, with an optional cultural stop arranged responsibly when requested.

Travel from Iringa toward the Udzungwa area. Join a guided hike selected for the group’s fitness and available daylight, enjoying forest scenery and waterfall viewpoints where the chosen trail allows. Overnight near Udzungwa or Mang’ula.

After breakfast, begin the road journey back to Dar es Salaam. Stops and lunch are arranged en route, with final drop off at the agreed city hotel, airport or meeting point.
